Gov. Bev Perdue has made expansion of the green energy economy a leading element of her economic development program as energy, conservation and environmental quality move from theoretical goals to concrete policies. Public and private sector spending on energy-related initiatives has never been greater and is anticipated to increase.

The federal Recovery Act is pumping an additional $247 million into energy-related spending in North Carolina. Those who attend the conference will hear from the top thinkers, policy makers and opinion shapers on energy issues -- from renewable energy and energy efficiency standards, emerging energy technologies, expansion of state and federal tax credits and uncertainty in the global energy markets.

The fast pace change in energy technology, combined with the challenging economic climate, make attending this conference the most effective way to stay fully informed on energy policy, technology, and opportunities.
